It all started with mashed potatoes...no seriously. When we moved to Dickens county in 2021, we enjoyed dining at all the local establishments. We quickly discovered that mashed potatoes were a delicacy and only featured on everyone's menu on occasion, if at all. Jason is a firm believer that you can not have a Chicken Fried Steak without a hearty serving of mashed potatoes so we decided to open a restaurant so he could enjoy that combo any time.
I (Becky) was born and raised in west Texas and graduated from Patton Springs in 2001. I moved to Lubbock where I worked at bars and restaurants for many years until I began a career in the jewelry industry and continue working full time in jewelry today.
Jason was born and raised in Oklahoma and has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 25 years. He also still does that to this day. Jason raised 2 amazing kiddos who reside in Oklahoma and are 24 and 21 and we have a 6 year old who attends Patton Springs. We are so happy to be just a few short hours away from them.
We purchased some land in Afton in 2021 to get away from the madness of big city life, get closer to family and to raise our youngest son with small town values and in a more intimate school setting. Jason has always wanted to open a restaurant and bar so we decided to make that dream a reality and here we are.
We are in NO WAY perfect and learn more each and every day. We are so thankful to be in Dickens County and look forward to serving the area for many years to come.

Shout out to our main man, Ian Seward! Ian comes from many years of bar and restaurant management experience. We approached him about teaming with us and moving his family to the "big city" to be the manager and partner in this venture. He has worked tirelessly day in and day out to make this place a success. He is our boots on the ground handling the daily hustle and bustle of the business. We could not do this without him and are so thankful to have him in our corner.
Rick joined our team in March and has over 20 years of management experience. He knows front of house like the back of his hand but has mastered working in the kitchen, doing dishes, grilling up steaks, and pretty much any other task that is thrown his way. These 2 men are why we are here.
We are so incredibly blessed with all who come in daily to keep this business afloat. Amy(server), Crystal (server) and Myra(hostess) have been with us since before our doors opened. These ladies are the biggest blessing and take care of business. Kaitlin, Desiree, Maci, Scott, and Justin have recently joined our team and are rock stars. We are thankful for each and every one of them. Stop in and say hi to our team!!
